Technology
A mechatronic technology consolidated for over 25 years, which integrates advanced optical and hydraulic sensors
eLYNX technology was developed through the design integration of the hydraulic cylinder and the optical sensor.
It is not a sensor added afterwards, but a system engineered as a single functional unit, where the mechanical and electronic components work synergistically to ensure precise and reliable position measurements over time.
This integrated architecture has been developed, industrialized, and field-validated through more than 25 years of real-world applications, with over 1.5 million systems installed worldwide: a body of experience that confirms the technological robustness and operational continuity of the eLYNX platform.
eLYNX is the result of joint development combining hydraulic and electronic expertise. The optical sensor is integrated directly into the piston, and the cylinder is designed to operate optimally with the measurement system.
This native integration eliminates the need for external solutions or retrofit installations, reducing failure points, cumulative tolerances, and assembly criticalities. The system becomes an integral part of the hydraulic actuator, delivering tangible benefits in terms of measurement stability and overall robustness.
The eLYNX system uses an optical sensor combined with a patented adaptive algorithm, capable of ensuring repeatable and stable position detection even under variable operating conditions.
The measurement is not affected by external electromagnetic fields and is independent of phenomena that may influence other sensing technologies. The absence of periodic calibration requirements and the long-term signal stability make this solution suitable for machines that demand high reliability and operational continuity.
eLYNX technology is developed to operate on off-highway machines and hydraulic systems exposed to vibration, shock, contamination, and high-pressure washdowns. Its IP69 protection rating and resistance to harsh environments allow it to be used in applications where reliability and durability are essential requirements.
The plug-in architecture enables simplified installation and replacement, with no need to drill the rod and without causing structural weakening. This approach significantly reduces design complexity for OEMs and facilitates field maintenance activities.
