Case Histories

Real-world application experiences that demonstrate the reliability of eLYNX over time.

Angular position measurement on rotary actuators

Integrated absolute measurement for motion control on industrial handling machines.

In this project, the absolute measurement system was integrated into the machine's rotating assembly, enabling continuous position monitoring.

The compact installation within the structure ensures precision, reliability, and component protection, even under dynamic loads and intensive cycles.

The result is more stable and safe movement control, with improved integration into on-board electronic systems.

4WS systems for Off-Highway machines

Plug-in optical system for absolute position measurement in off-highway cylinders.

Optical technology for hydraulic cylinders is a patented solution consisting of a hydraulic cylinder with a code marked on the rod and an integrated optical sensor that recognizes it.

This plug-in technology includes intelligent electronics with an adaptive algorithm that allows verification and confirmation of the steering center position.

Use in industrial bottling machines

High-precision position control for rotary systems and automatic filling stations.

In industrial bottling machines, accurate position control is a key factor in ensuring synchronization between the various process stations, high cycle speed, and consistent product quality.

The integration of absolute sensors into motion systems, rotary tables, and adjustment mechanisms makes it possible to continuously and reliably monitor the position of mechanical components. This ensures precise alignment between containers, filling stations, labeling stations, and capping units, even in very high-speed production cycles.

In real-world applications, the eLYNX sensor is used, for example, in bottling machines to automatically adjust the height of the operating structure according to the type of bottle during the labeling process. Absolute position measurement ensures fast and repeatable adjustments, simplifying format changes and improving line efficiency.

The result is greater operational stability, reduced waste, and overall optimization of production performance, even in highly automated environments and intensive-duty cycles.

Steering control

Integration of an absolute sensor into the steering cylinder of a heavy duty tracked vehicle.

In this project, the absolute sensor with axial reading was integrated directly into the trencher's hydraulic cylinder, ensuring position measurement along the entire stroke of the rod.

The solution enables reliable movement control under the harsh operating conditions typical of off-highway applications, improving precision, cycle repeatability, and operational safety.

The system's compact architecture allowed for optimized integration into the machine layout, reducing external wiring and critical points, with tangible benefits in terms of robustness, maintenance, and operational continuity.

CAN-OPEN sensor

Developed in partnership with DUPLOMATIC to achieve absolute measurement even on long-stroke cylinders.

The CAN-OPEN sensor is the result of a technological collaboration with Duplomatic to extend absolute position measurement to long-stroke hydraulic cylinders, typical of highly complex industrial and mobile applications.

The integration of the CAN-OPEN protocol enables direct digital communication with control systems, ensuring stable data transmission, advanced diagnostics, and easy integration into machine architectures.

The solution ensures measurement continuity along the entire stroke, high immunity to interference, and operational reliability under harsh operating conditions.
